I finally finished it. This bunting has been sitting next to my sewing machine for a couple of months now.
After seeing this neighbor's porch I was inspired to sit down and get it done.
I wanted to keep the front porch simple so all I did was set my turquoise table next to these red adirondack chairs that I've had out here for years,
and add my freshly sewn bunting.
What you can't see here is my 9 year-old daughter pushing a big branch up out of the way so I can get a decent picture.
I picked all my favorite fabrics from my stash--I like the mismatched look it gives.
This is my last porch post I'll be doing this year. If you missed my back porch, this cute blue one, or this charmingly colorful one, be sure to check them out.
I like how it turned out, simple yet colorful.
Also, I found the coolest free eye chart maker here. I'm going to make one for my home, but not sure what I want it to say yet. Here is one I made to remind you to get those projects ready for Wednesday's linky party!
keep primping,
i love it michele! the colors are awesome and perfect for your porch! it would be fun to make seasonal ones, too, like at christmas, halloween, thanksgiving... maybe i am feeling too ambitious!

Really sweet looking, love those red chairs too! Looking at your pictures I was thinking of a Halloween one and how cute it would be!
ReplyDeletePS Your name is exactly how I spelled my daughter's name 42 years ago:) I didn't like the two L's in my name so only used the one in hers!
Great porch, Michele. Love the colors you chose and that banner just ties it all together. Thanks for the eye chart maker idea. I'm working on a gallery wall in my daughter's black and white bedroom...this is perfect for it! :)
ReplyDeleteVery sweet Michele. I've been thinking about making one for my youngest daughter's room. It's pretty easy, right? And I love that turquoise table out there. Soo cute. Turquoise and red is such a great color combo. And thanks for sharing the eye chart link. That's soo fun. I'll have to head over and check it out. Have a great week! : )
ReplyDeleteThat looks great, even your tree coordinates! What a fun and cheery entrance. ;-)
ReplyDeleteLooks like such a happy, friendly porch! love it!
ReplyDeleteHow cute your bunting is! :)

ReplyDeleteVery cute porch!! And I love the eye chart!
ReplyDeleteI just made bunting myself this weekend for the first time - I love the patterns you used, so sweet! The furniture looks fantastic as well :)
ReplyDeleteI love it too! (sigh) I don't have a front porch any more and your photos make me SO nostalgic for that wonderful front porch lounging! Your colorful furnishings and pretty bunting are just fabulous. And big thanks to your photography helper!
ReplyDeleteI just went to the eye chart. My daughter just purchased a new home. The front entry has a porch and a nitch to sit in. I am going to print out their monogram and put " welcome to our home" and give it to them. Thanks for a great idea!
ReplyDeleteadorable!
ReplyDeleteThat is so pretty! I've been wanting to make a bunting for my porch, too, but I was nervous it would look a little too "partytime". After seeing yours, I'm motivated to just go for it!
ReplyDeleteYour bunting looks so great on your adorable porch! I love the colors! I recently made some smaller bunting to hang on an old vintage window for a mantle display. I linked that post up to your link party.
ReplyDeleteThe banner added just the right touch. I love your porch...just the right amount of furniture.
ReplyDeleteHi Michele,
ReplyDeleteYour banner looks so festive!! Great project...love the different fabrics!
