another use for boots

Okay, so what do you do when you buy the cutest boots in the spring for your daughter to wear in the fall and when you pull them out you realize they are both the right foot and you cannot return or exchange them?  Well, you make them into a planter of course!

True story.  These were too cute to toss so I decided to punch some holes in the bottom and turn them into a home for pretty flowers.  Just add dirt, flowers and water often.
Now, I get to look at them daily on my
newly {primp}ed porch.

  1. Those look like Liberty of London! Although I'm sure they would have looked cute on your little girl, I have to say that the boots are also adorable planters!

  3. Oh how funny, two right feet... well, someone with two left feet must have needed the mates to them. *winks* This is a brilliant idea to make Lemonade out of a Lemon of a purchase... they are too cute to discard... and the prospect of finding someone with two right feet to sell them too... slim I'd say. *LOL*

  9. Too funny!! I did this last year and just to give you fair warning ~ they need to be watered quite often (the heat dries up the dirt inside due to the vinyl) and the boots will fade terribly in the sun ` but it's still a cute idea!
